On beach

Safe arrival in Melbourne.  Warm welcome  from the Parkinson family .  They live in Geelong West in the state of Victoria.   Port Phillip Bay just a few blocks away and the Bass Straight where the Southern Ocean squeezes between the coast and Tasmania to the south.  Quick tour of area and then a walk on the beach at Torquay Beach.  Everyone is so welcoming and being on the coast I feel at home.  So many different plants, birds and animals to get to know.  Learning australian slang.   Who knew?
