Leon

The Camino continues westward.  We see lots of shells and yellow arrows pointing the the way.  Today there were lots of pilgrims on the path that is close to the road here.  It is 40 in the morning but sunny and 70 by this afternoon.  Leon comes from the latin legio 7, the roman legion that occupied this area because of the gold nearby.
We visited a small village that only has about 40 people left living there.  Smaller families and the move to urban centers  has had a dramatic  effect.  The government is trying to revitalize these areas.  We help cook in a private home made into small B & B.  We meet Pepe the wood carver.  Mita the wool weaver and her sheep and Pepa the hotel owner/cook.
